United Arab Emirates

Above Dubai

Seaplane is a unique and wonderful experience especially in Dubai as it provides bird's eye views of the dramatic city skyline and the coastline. I want to share with you few pictures from a plane tour that took off from Dubai Creek and landed in Abu Dhabi Yas Marina.

Seaplane takes off from the water of Dubai Creek where you can observe boats of fishermen and traders. Far away is the skyline of Dubai's neighbor city - Sharjah. We are flying by Downtown Dubai, home of the tallest building in the world - Burj Khalifa. One of the most famous and the only "7" stars hotel in the world, iconic landmark of Dubai - Burj al Arab. They say that even toilets are made of gold. Palm Jumeirah is the one of the world's largest man-made islands and is comprised of a two kilometer long trunk, a crown made up of 17 fronds and a surrounding crescent. From ground level you cannot get such a nice perspective on city like from the sky and especially in place like this. By looking down at the window above Palm Jumeirah you can see luxury hotels, resorts and residences. Here is me observing Dubai like never before. The world's largest man-made marina - Dubai Marina. This cosmopolitan neighborhood is like a city within a city. Landed in Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi. Flight has been operated by seaplane tour operator Seawings. Planes can take up to 9 passengers and a pilot.
